If you’re looking to limit the amount of network traffic used by Windows applications, including Windows Update, you can do so by following these 15 simple steps. First, click the menu button, usually located at the bottom-left corner of the screen. Then click Settings, followed by Update & Security and Windows Update. Next, click Advanced Options, and then click Delivery optimization. Scroll down and click Advanced Options again. Finally, check the box beside the type of data and drag the slider to the percentage of your total bandwidth that can be used. The next time Windows downloads an update, it will only be able to use the percentage of bandwidth you allowed.
